OUR STORY
In September 2026 we’re riding over 270km from Banyuls-sur-Mer in France to Barcelona, Spain, in aid of four phenomenal charities. Please donate to enable these organisations to continue their great work.
The Blazing Saddles were formed in 2020 at the height of the first lockdown, when a group of close friends decided that they needed to get off their sofas and get fit. These novice cyclists soon got the bug, and started building up their distances in the beautiful Cheshire countryside.
With more than £100,000 raised since it’s inception, the Blazing Saddles are aiming to raise at least another £20,000 but they can’t do it without you!

The Fifth Ride - 2026
Banyal-sur-Mer to Barcelona
The Blazing Saddles are back! With more than £100,000 raised for charities so far, the riders are ready to help four incredible causes once more.
Raising money for Leukaemia Care Uk, Cancer Research UK, Seashell Trust and Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, the ride starts in France in Banyuls-sur-Mer before heading 270km south to Barcelona over two days.
Day 1: Banyuls-sur-Mer to Girona
Day 2: Day 2: Girona to Barcelona
This is the fifth installment of the Blazing Saddles and we can’t do it without you! We’re asking you to dig deep and contribute towards our fundraising goal of £20,000 so these charities can continue their invaluable work.
We’ve got 20 riders lined up to start in September, some (very) old faces and some new, your donations will help motivate them all to get back on their bikes and keep training right up until they get going.

WILMSLOW TO ANGLESEY
What started as a group of middle-aged men trying to do some positive for charity, broke all expectations we had ever thought possible! Our very first ride raised over £40,000 - a fantastic achievement for even better causes, we want to thank everyone who made it possible.
The route was 250km from the home of the Blazing Saddles, Wilmslow, to Anglesey over the 11th-13th September weekend.
Blazing Saddles is now much more than 20+ riders - it's everyone who has donated, everyone who receives aid from the money, every nurse, designer and hard worker who put a shift in to make this a wonderful charity event exceed and prosper.
Thank you everyone, from the bottom of our hearts, and remember, it’s about the charities so click the link below to donate!
